Digital Radiology Diagnostics for Pets
Whether your dog or cat is in need of x-rays due to accident or illness, our hospital have the tools to diagnose and treat your pet. Digital radiology (also known as an x-ray) is a common imaging tool that our veterinarians use to examine your dog or cat’s internal organs as well as their cardiopulmonary, gastrointestinal, reproductive, and urinary systems. An x-ray is a type of photograph that can look inside the body and reveal information that may not be externally visible.
We use digital radiology to diagnose fractures or broken bones, locate foreign objects within the body, and screen for cancer and organ abnormalities. Our veterinarians also utilizes digital radiology for dental exams to provide a detailed image of your pet’s teeth, gums, and surrounding bone. Dental x-rays help us diagnose bone loss or identify hidden oral diseases that may have an impact on your pet’s health.
Randhurst Animal Hospital has a state-of-the-art digital x-ray that we use in diagnosing injuries or illnesses of the chest, abdomen and extremities. Our highly trained staff develops these radiographs in-house, and our veterinarians will review them so that we can treat your pet as quickly as possible.
