Wellness Care for Puppies

Welcoming a new puppy into your family is an exciting time, but it can also bring up many questions and concerns. Our veterinarians and staff are here to help answer your questions and provide the best veterinary care to help your puppy grow up healthy and strong. It’s important to bring your puppy in for their first exam to establish a clean bill of health; our puppy wellness exams will ensure that your new companion will be on the way to growing up healthy and happy.

Our puppy wellness exams include:

  • A comprehensive physical exam
  • A thorough dental exam
  • A customized vaccination program based on your puppy’s lifestyle
  • Screening and recommendations for preventing external and intestinal parasites
  • Heartworm prevention
  • Nutritional counseling
  • Behavior and housetraining recommendations
  • Microchipping recommendations

Tailored Vaccinations

Vaccinating your new puppy is the best way to prevent serious illnesses that can infect your best friend. We believe in creating a personalized vaccine schedule that is tailored for your puppy’s needs to maximize the protection against any diseases he or she is likely to be exposed to. Your puppy will receive a series of vaccines in their first four months and then annual boosters at their yearly checkups. Contact us today for a complete list of vaccines and schedules.

Microchipping

Just like vaccinations, microchips will help keep your puppy safe. If your puppy is ever lost, their unique microchip identifier will link up with your contact information to help bring them home safely.

Your Puppy’s First Visit

For your puppy’s first exam, we ask that you bring any health information provided to you by the seller or shelter. This information should include a previous history of vaccines and deworming. We also ask that you bring a fresh stool sample, and arrive with your puppy on a leash or in a secure carrier.
