A board-certified surgeon, Dr. Jackson has more than 20 years of experience providing complex surgical care for pets. Raised in Southern Illinois, Dr. Jackson found his calling to be a veterinarian at a young age. Growing up with many pets, he forged a lifelong bond with animals. After three years of study at Illinois State University, Dr. Jackson was accepted into the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. Earning his doctorate in veterinary medicine in 1998, Dr. Jackson continued his studies with a rotating small animal internship at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. Following completion of his internship, Dr. Jackson continued his studies in Knoxville, TN with a rigorous 3-year training program in small animal surgery. Dr. Jackson moved to Chiago in 2002. In 2006, Dr. Jackson completed a multi-day certification test and became a Board Certified Veterinary Surgeon.
